Vanilla

N.5.jpg

Ugandan planifolia vanilla is globally recognised as one of the highest qualities with a unique flavour profile and bold aromatic notes. Unlike Madagascar, we benefit from two harvest seasons per year, ensuring only the ripe beans are picked, and reliable weather patterns with no cyclone risk. We are also able to maintain lower nicotine, high vanillin content and carry a low risk of pesticide or other contamination.

As the leading Ugandan vanilla exporter of high-quality beans, we have over 20 years’ experience of traditional curing in our own, purpose-built facility, allowing us to guarantee quality and food safety with HACCP and FSSC22000 certification.

We pride ourselves on traceability and our strong relationships with the agents and farmers we buy from. We have certified over 4,000 vanilla farmers in Organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance.

Mukono

DSC01415.JPG

Our main Vanilla curing plant is Ntenjeru in Mukono, East of Kampala and was established in 2000. Mayuge and Mukono were the epicentre of vanilla production at that time and remain significant but vanilla production has now expanded across the whole of central and western Uganda.

As our main vanilla processing site, we ensure that all vanilla passes through Ntenjeru to guarantee the best quality and food safety standards.
